Origins (The Story)

I became interested in fitness while I was attending college in Florida. It was the early 90’s and I had started going to a gym regularly, doing what most young adults like to do: bulk up and focus on growing muscle in the chest and arms almost exclusively.  I was using some workout supplements (protein powders and the like) but was not eating right. I was partying hard and was not too concerned about my health. Like most people in their 20’s, I was living life to the fullest without thinking about the consequences. In other words, I had never heard of, and was not interested in, the concept of “wellness”. Life for me became merely a roller coaster of health ups-and-downs, sometimes minimally taking care of my mind and body, and other times mistreating and abusing myself to the extreme with toxic substances, mostly junk food and alcohol.

  • n. The condition of good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise, and habits.

Almost 25 years later I have come a long way to understand not only what wellness actually means, but also what works and what doesn’t when trying to burn fat, build muscle, strengthen the immune system, slow down the aging process, prevent and reverse disease, promote vitality, endurance, mental focus, etc. The most important part of this process, of course, is that I was able to detoxify my mind, body, and soul, and basically transform (transmute) into a “new and improved” version of myself. And if I can do it, ANYBODY can do it.

As a youngster I never planned to become a holistic nutritionist and wellness counselor.  It all happened as part of a hobby trying to stay as healthy and fit as possible in an extremely toxic world.  It was in the last 12 years of my life that I was able to slowly connect the dots and decipher what is the truth about the world we live in. Since then I have come to believe that it is possible to unlock the full potential of the human body, mind and spirit (or vital force), what I like to call “The Sacred Trinity”, by focusing on what we put into our bodies. This includes not only physical things like food, but also the quality of our thoughts and the “energy” we create.  When these three aspects of our true Self are properly understood and maximized, they can be empowered and harnessed simultaneously in order to bring about positive change in our lives.

But every person is different, and what works for me may not work for everyone. The key is to understand that there is no magic bullet, no magic pill, and no magic spell that can give you these things. It is a set of different protocols, techniques, routines, etc, that when used in the right amount and combination, can generate incredible changes in your being, which in turn help you create a better life for your Self and those around you. This can only be achieved by your own effort; nobody can do it for you. I can merely assist you and guide you in your self-exploration that will allow you to determine what is the root of the problem or obstacle that is preventing your authentic self, your wellness and health, to manifest absolutely.
